About Me

I am a 40 year old wife, student, and mother to two wonderful sons. I was the first person to go to college from either side of my mother and father in 1993. After many years I finally achieved my A.A. from Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL in May of 2015. I am now a student at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL for my B.F.A. in Fiber with a minor in Japanese (language). After I graduate in a little over a year, I will return to NIU to start the Museum Studies program and then start my Masters in Art History.

I have been honored to receive two scholarships this semester. One scholarship is the BLOG Scholarship from the Foreign Language Department at NIU. The second scholarship was from the Jack Arends Art School at NIU for continuing art students. This site will be for the requirements for the BLOG Scholarship. I will be updating two to three times a week in the Japanese language. I would like to apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes I may make as I have only completed two semesters of the Japanese language.

Thank you!!
